Pablo Picasso (1881-1973), painter, sculptor, engraver and ceramist, was one of the most prolific artists of his time; leader of the Cubist movement, he touched on all the pictorial currents of the 20th century.
Dora Maar, whom he met in the circle of Surrealists in artistic Paris in 1936, was a young photographer who would inspire many of his paintings.
